Excessive corporate power is the problem

Right now, a handful of boardrooms, executives and billionaires have more say over our future than the tens of millions of us who actually live here.

It’s the Big Four Banks with a chokehold over mortgage holders (and renters). The supermarket duopoly that steal from our communities with fake discounts. The fossil fuel and mining giants like Hancock, Santos and Chevron treating our democracy as a subsidiary while draining our natural resources. 

The capture of our country by corporate and billionaire power is nearly complete.

    Each and every company and billionaire who believes that his and his shareholders worth,profits, take precedence over that of the people, to borrow a phrase from history over ‘the common weal.’
